PURPOSE:To obtain a various widths of lead angle from one type of signal generator by constructing an igniting position control circuit with two integrating circuits, an ignition signal generating circuit and a reset circuit. CONSTITUTION:The position where the terminal voltage Vc1 of a first integra tion capacitor 8a during initial integration interval in which the first integration capacitor 8a is charged initially with a first charging current I11 from a first rotary angle position by means of a first integration circuit 8 is equal to the integration voltage Vc2 of a second integration capacitor 9a being charged from a second rotary angle position by means of a second integration circuit 9 is the maximum lead angle position. Said maximum lead angle position can be set properly based upon the first and second charging currents I11, I12 of the first integration capacitor 8a and the charging current I2 of the second integration capacitor 9a. Consequently, the width of lead angle can be varied without modifying the structure of a signal generator in which a signal coil 5 is provided.
