<p>A process for the manufacture of a thermally insulating product for the textile industry, particularly intended for making eiderdowns, bedspreads, pillows and other cushions, sleeping bags, linings for furniture and clothing as well as anoraks and other articles. Two flexible supports (1) with fibres (2) are placed on each other so that the tips of the fibres of the two flexible supports touch each other and then the edges (4) of the two supports with fibres are closed.
