In an aircraft fire-extinguishing installation with two containers (1,2) for an extinguishing medium which produce a first and a second fire-extinguishing action, the fire-extinguishing medium from the two containers is conveyed through a common pipeline system and cleaing and/or proportioning devices (3 to 7) are installed closely adjacent to the second container (2). The devices comprise water adsorption filters (5), solid-particle filters (7), pressure reducers (6), restrictors (4), and one-way valves (3). This arrangement avoids the risk of icing of the installation as a result of the medium flowing out into the freight compartments.
