PURPOSE:To simplify an interface circuit, etc., by processing plural signals from various sensors mounted on an automobile so that respective control units use them easily and also distributing the processed signals to the control units, and allowing the control units to interchange information processed in the control units with one another. CONSTITUTION:Various sensor signals from an automobile speed sensor 1, etc., are read in a microcomputer through an input interface 41 in a sensor signal processor. The microcomputer 43 performs various arithmetic operations such as the computation of an automobile speed with the signal from the automobile speed sensor 1. The sensor signal processor 40 inputs various arithmetic results to an engine control unit 10, a change gear control unit 30, etc., through an input interface circuit 44 and the units interchange information with one another through the input/output interface 44. For example, information on the start of a speed change is received from the change gear control unit 20 and then an actuator is commanded to lower the engine output.
