The invention is based on a method of manufacturing eccentric screw pumps with a stator consisting of rubber and a rotor made of steel arranged in the cavity of the stator. In order to keep the driving power low in comparatively long pumps, as a result of the invention the stator which has cooled after vulcanistion is measured, whereupon the rotor is correspondingly dimensionally machined or finished on a lathe.
