PURPOSE:To improve the solderability of an inductor by engaging a projection protruded from an electrode terminal with a mounting hole formed at the end of a core, bonding it with thermoset resin adhesive, then low melting point metal-plating it to the surface of the terminal and connecting the leads of the coil with the terminal. CONSTITUTION:A projection 18 protruded from an electrode terminal 15 is engaged with amounting hole 17 formed at the end of a core 11, and bonded with a thermoset resin adhesive 19, thereby securing the terminal 15 to the core 11. Thereafter, the surface of the terminal 15 is low melting point metal- plated at 22, a coil 14 is wound, and its leads 16 are connected with the terminal 15. Thus, in an inductor in which a nonmagnetic low melting point metal-plating 22 is executed at the terminal 15, the terminal 15 which is not slackened nor removed even if exposing with high temperature can be manufactured.
