PURPOSE:To ensure a space for screw fastening to a cartridge half by engaging one end of a torsion spring with a pinion, giving a bias force in the closing direction to a slide shutter to reduce the deflected movement of the torsion spring at the switching movement of the slide shutter. CONSTITUTION:In loading a disk cartridge 1 and driving it, a slide shutter 15 is depressed in the opening direction, a slide base 16 is slid along guide slots 12c, 13c of the halves, the pinion 19 is driven against the bias force of the torsional spring 20 and the torsional spring 20 is rolled and moved in the corner face 13e of the halves. When the slide shutter 15 is moved to open com pletely the windows 12a, 13a, the slide base 16 is locked, the torsional spring 20 is deflectively moved to nearly the center of the corner face 13e and does not traverse a screw fastening hole 21. Thus, no hindrance is given to the screwing of the adhesion of both the cartridge halves 12, 13.
