PURPOSE:To reduce the number of decoders at the time of using plural scanners and to require no repeater by decoding a unit element in parallel at every scanner based on a counted value stored in a memory part by a control circuit. CONSTITUTION:An interruption controller 4 receiving a detecting signal from the scanners 11-1N, at every time when the scanners 11-1N detect the unit element and at every time when the boundary part of a bar and a space included in the detecting signal, namely a part for changing from the bar to the space and from the space to the bar is inputted, generates an interruption signal for the scanners 11-1N and outputs to a CPU5. A counter timer 6 constantly performs a counting operation and outputs a counted value to the CPU5. Then, the CPU5 decodes the unit element in parallel at every scanner 11-1N based on the counted value stored in a RAM 8.
