PURPOSE:To efficiently adsorb metallic ions and odor by using coal fly ashes and cement as an essential raw material and adding ammonium chloride, potassium chloride, citric acid and cobalt chloride and forming a continuous porous body. CONSTITUTION:An adsorbent for metallic ions and odor is obtained by using coal fly ashes and cement as an essential raw material and adding ammonium chloride, potassium chloride, magnesium chloride, sodium chloride, calcium chloride, sodium sulfate, citric acid and cobalt chloride and forming a continuous porous body. This adsorbent is constituted to the continuous porous body due to micro pores and macro pores and the specific surface area is large and cations are electrically trapped. Therefor when bringing it into contact with waste liquid, various kinds of metallic ions contained in waste liquid are ion- exchanged with the electrically trapped cations and adsorbed.
