PURPOSE:To shorten a molding cycle and to prevent a mold from damaging, by a method wherein a movement of an injection equipment is suspended when mold clamping is not completed at the time when the injection equipment abuts against a stationary mold by starting the movement of the injection equipment prior to completion of the mold clamping. CONSTITUTION:When a movable platen 3 is moved rightward, a stationary mold 2 and movable mold 4 come into contact with each other and a first mold clamping is performed. Then second mold clamping is begun by applying still higher pressure to the platen 3. When completion of the first clamping is detected, a solenoid 17a is excited by control equipment 22, hydraulic pressure through a hydraulic pump 15 is supplied to a right chamber of a cylinder 13. With this construction, injection equipment 8 is moved leftward. In other words, when the second mold clamping is completed, a molding cycle is shortened as compared with a case where the injection equipment is moved forward. In the case where the second mold clamping is not completed at the time when the injection equipment 8 is detected by a limit switch 21, advancement of the injection equipment 8 is suspended by turning OFF a solenoid valve 17. With this construction, the mold is not damaged. |
