PURPOSE:To manufacture a Zn-Ni alloy plated steel sheet with little change in Ni content even by plating at high current density by adding a specified amount of K ions to a plating bath acidified with sulfuric acid, adjusting the pH of the bath to a specified value and carrying out Zn-Ni alloy plating. CONSTITUTION:When Zn-Ni alloy plating is carried out on a steel sheet with a plating bath contg. Zn and Ni acidified with sulfuric acid, >=1g/l K ions are added to the plating bath and the pH of the bath is adjusted to 1-3. K2SO4 is preferably used so as to feed the K ions. The plating is carried out at 100-200A/dm<2> current density.
