PURPOSE:To reduce the thickness of the mount part of a light emitting element and a light receiving element, by forming a reflecting strip having high reflectivity parts and low reflectivity parts continuously formed to one surface thereof in one direction. CONSTITUTION:A reflecting plate 27 is formed of reflecting strips X, Y, Z each having high reflectivity parts and low reflectivity parts continuously provided to one surface thereof in one direction and made freely slidable in the direction forming said strips X, Y, Z to be mounted to a main body and connects the diaphragm 5 provided to the main body under tension so as to act the pressure of a fluid P on one surface thereof. Further, light emitting elements 32a, 32b emitting lights toward the strips X, Y, Z and light receiving elements 33a, 33b receiving the reflected lights from said strips are mounted on the main body. When the pressure of the fluid P varies, the diaphragm 5 moves and the connected plate 27 slides to change the positions of the strips X, Y, Z formed to the plate 27 and, according to said positions, the lights from the elements 32a, 32b are reflected from the high reflectivity parts or the low reflectivity parts and, corresponding to the reflecting positions, the quantities of the reflected lights received by the elements 33a, 33b change to detect the variation in the pressure of the fluid.
