The salvaged asphalt is introduced into the drum by means of a throwing device, to be precise at least approximately on a parabolic throwing path which is tangential to the flame cone and only shortly before the end of the flame cone strikes the inside of the drum wall, the outside of which is covered with a heat-insulating layer.
