A telescopic tripot universal joint comprises an inner drive member (l2) which has spherical trunnions (26), an outer drive member (l4) which has drive channels (20) with parallel planar side walls (22), and intermediate drive assemblies (l6) which are pivotally mounted on the spherical trunnions and are disposed in the drive channels. The drive assemblies comprise intermediate drive blocks (32), bearing rollers (34) which engage the side walls of the drive channels to transmit torque, and cage structure (36) which retains the bearing roller means and is secured to the intermediate drive block for conjoint movement with the intermediate drive block.
