<p>LEUKOTRIENE ANTAGONISTS INTERMEDIATES The compounds represented by the formula (I) < IMG > (I) wherein m is 0, 1 or 2; p is 9, 10, 11, 12 or 13; R1' is hydrogen, < IMG > or < IMG > and R2' is amino, -NHCH2CO2R3', < IMG >, < IMG >', < IMG > , -NHCH2CONH2 or -OR3' wherein R3' is an alkyl radical containing one to six carbon atoms with the proviso that when m is 0, R1' is hydrogen are chemical intermediates in the synthesis of leukotriene antagonists of the formula (II) < IMG > (II) wherein m and p, are described above and Rl is hydrogen, amino or < IMG >; R2 is hydroxyl, amino, -NHCH2CO2H, < IMG >, < IMG >, < IMG > or -NHCH2CONH2; and X is < IMG >, -CO2H or -CH2OH which are useful in the treatment of diseases in which leukotrienes are a factor, such as asthma.</p> |
