<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a polarized electromagnet which can operate at a high speed and has smooth variation in the attracting force with respect to the displacement amount of an armature by winding a first coil along the longitudinal direction of an armature body and winding a second coil perpendicularly to the first coil. CONSTITUTION:When a current flows through a coil 20, an armature 9 is magnetized in an arraying direction that the pole ends of the armature 9 are arranged, and magnetic repelling force and magnetic attracting force are generated between poles generated in the armature and pole ends 7, 8 of a yoke at the poles, and the armature is angularly displaced around an axis 6. A force according to Fleming's left-hand rule due to the magnetic fluxes of current flow and permanent magnet piece acts on the perpendicular portion of the coil 20, and an angular displacement also occurs by this force. Thus, the operation of the armature can be remarkably accelerated. Further, a coil 22 wound perpendicularly to the coil 20 is shortcircuited to reduce the inductance of the coil 20 to rapidly respond to the coil current, thereby further accelerating the operation of the armature.</p> |
