PURPOSE:To eliminate any braking actuation by footing by de-energizing an electromagnetic solenoid when an accelerator lever is manually turned to a braking actuation position by an operator whereby generating braking force by means of the mechanical energizing force of a brake mechanism. CONSTITUTION:When an operator rides on a vehicle, a limit switch 5 is turned on by his weight. Under this condition, when an accelerator lever 20 is operated with a key switch turned on, an accelerator switch 7 is turned on for energizing a solenoid 3. As a result, the brake is released while overcoming the spring force of a drum brake 1 by way of a link mechanism 4. In this state, when the accelerator lever 20 is operated back and forth, the vehicle can be driven. And after the accelerator lever 20 is shifted to a neutral position, its operation to the transversal direction causes the accelerator switch 7 to be turned off for de-energizing the solenoid 3. Resultantly, the link mechanism 4 is returned to its original position wherein the brake is applied by the spring force of the drum brake 1.
