PURPOSE:To prevent malodor generated upon combustion shutdcon from being dispersed by disposing a wick guide at the lower part of a combustion cylinder, providing horizontal shutter grooves in the wick guide, and mounting a shutter plate on the shutter groove in a manner freely moving, in a horizontal direction, into or out of the shutter groove. CONSTITUTION:An odor preventive shutter 17 moves along a shutter groove 18 horizontally at the upper end portion of a wick guide 9. A lever mechanism 20 for causing the shutter 17 to move in or out horizontally, is connected to an operating lever 14 by means of a wire 22, and is opened or closed in linkage with the vertical movement of a wick 11. The operating lever 14 is manipulated downward to firstly lower the wick 11 an to below the shutter 17 within the wick guide 9, and then the wire 22 is pulled to close the odor preventive shutter 17. By this procedure, air required for the combustion of the wick 11 is cut off and the flame of the wick 11 goes out. At the same time, the odor preventive shutter 17 cuts off a so-called malodor causeel by natural vaporization of kerosene.
