摘要 PURPOSE:To improve power performance especially in a high speed operation area, by a method wherein a control valve, opening and closing a flow passage communicated to the inlet of a radiator, is provided, and the control valve is controlled to the high temperature side of cooling water only in a specified operation area. CONSTITUTION:A cooling water passage 7, formed to an internal combustion engine, is connected to a radiator 8 through conduit tubes 10 and 11, and the two conduits 10 and 11 are interconnected through a bypass pipe 12. A conduit 13, branched on the downstream side, where the tube 11 is connected to the pipe 12, is connected to a heat exchanger 14 of an air conditioning heating device 14. In this case, a control valve 22 is located on the downstream side where the conduit 10 is connected to the bypass pipe 12, and opening and closing of the control valve 22 is controlled by means of a computer 19. Namely, when it is decided that an open air temperature is below a given temperature during low speed running, the control valve 22 is actuated according to the number of revolutions of an engine, determined by means of an output from a distributor 20, and an open air temperature detected by a temperature sensor 26, and a cooling water temperature is set to the high temperature area side.
