PURPOSE:To attain the proper tracking control without requiring large sized device by forming a support provided to be deformed in the tracking direction only by a one rubber elastic plate at the tracking control. CONSTITUTION:In moving an objective lens 12 in the tracking direction B-B' to apply tracking control, a lens holder 10 is moved in the tracking direction B-B' by the magnetic interaction between the magnetic field caused by applying a current to tracking coils 22a, 22b in either proper direction of the arrow C and the magnetic field caused by magnets 26b, 26d to attain the tracking control. Since one rubber elastic plate is used for the support 28, the same degree of deformation as a conventional driver is formed by using nearly a half external force in comparison with a conventional type driver.
