PURPOSE:To carry-out preparation of an oil seal efficiently and at low cost by fixing and connecting an annular plate member onto the inside surface of a seal lip part simultaneously with the molding of then oil seal having an annular plate member made of a material having a low frictional coefficient and fixed onto the inside surface of the seal lip part. CONSTITUTION:An oil seal 20 is constituted of a main part 21 made of the soft elastic material such as rubber, annular plate member 23 which is made of the material having a low freictional coefficient and abrasionproofness such as ethylene tetrafluoride resin and fixed onto the inside surface of the seal lip part 22, and a core metal 24 previously molded into a prescribed from, and can be molded by using the upper and the lower metal molds 25 and 26. The core mold part 27 which is formed in the center part of the upper surface of the lower mold 26 is constituted of a middle mold 30, and the core mold 28 integrally formed with the lower mold 26, and the annular plate material 23 is installed onto the upper edge of the core mold part 28 during molding. After a core metal 24 and a doughnut-shaped sealing member 31 are aranged in the shaping space for lower mold 26, the prescribed molding is performed in the combination of the middle mold 30 and the upper mold 25 for the lower mold 26. |
