PURPOSE:To suppress the adsorption of a multivalent cation, by using a low specific gravity lipoprotein adsorbing material prepared by mixing a solution of a synthetic chain polymer having a sulfate group adjusted to pH0.5-7 and an activated porous carrier. CONSTITUTION:A low specific gravity lipoprotein adsorbing material is prepared by mixing a solution of a synthetic chain polymer having a sulfate group adjusted to pH0.5-7 and an activated porous carrier being a porous adsorbing material having MW of 5X10<3>-5X10<6>, the synthetic chain polymer part having the sulfate group on the surface thereof and ion exchange capacity of 10-300mueq/ml (wet volume). The aforementioned chain polymer part having the sulfate group is the chain polymer having MW of 5X10<3>-5X10<6> and a large number of sulfate groups in one molecule and, for example, there are polyvinyl sulfate and polystyrene sulfate, etc.
