PURPOSE:To obtain a flexible heat exchanger capable of remarkably improving its heat transfer rate by fixing adjacent heat transfer tubes to each other at a predetermined interval therebetween, and bringing a heat medium at the outside into contact with the entire periphery of each of heat transfer tubes. CONSTITUTION:On both side surfaces in the thickness direction of frame members 1a and 1b which form two sides of a square shaped frame body 1, a large number of grooves 2 are provided equidistantly in the width direction of the frame body 1. Heat transfer tubes 3 made of plastics having a flexibility are fitted in respective grooves 2 and wound around the frame members 1a and 1b, and are bonded to within respective grooves 2 by use of a bonding agent. Respective ends of frame members 1a and 1b around which heat transfer tubes 3 are wound are cut together with the heat transfer tubes thereby to constitute fin units A. Spacers 4 are interposed between the fin units A, and are stacked in a plurality of stages to form heat-exchange units B. To both ends of each heat-exchange units B, manifolds 5 are fixed so that they cover the opening ends of each heat transfer tube 3. The heat medium at the outside make contact with the entire periphery surface of each heat transfer tube 2 to remarkably improve the heat transfer rate. |
