PURPOSE:To realize two kinds of interfaces by providing an internal interface between the gasic controlling section of a printer section and a standard interface. CONSTITUTION:A printer section 1 consists of a basic controlling section 2, a standard interface 4 and an internal interface 3 for connecting the basic controlling section 2 and the standard interface or an option interface unit 5. Further, it is provided with the option interface unit 5 for realizing the standard interface 4 and a different kind of interface. Signals inputted from an interface A to the standard interface 4 are transmitted to the basic controlling section 2 through the internal interface 3. Signals inputted from an interface B to the option interface unit 5 are transmitted to the basic controlling section 2 through the internal interface 3.
