PURPOSE:To aim at improvement of efficiency in cutting work and reduction in cutting time, by constituting a saw blade with an amorphous alloy, increasing the extent of abrasion resistance, and prolonging its service life. CONSTITUTION:For example, a molten metal of an amorphous alloy having composition of Ni 7%, Cr 3%, Fe 4.5%, Si 3.2%, etc., is manufactured. This molten metal is sprayed to the surface of a cooled metal roll quickly rotating, quickly cooling it into solidification, whereby a foiled amorphous alloy is produced in succession. Since this amorphous alloy is high in strength per unit area, a saw blade is made possible to be thinner than the conventional one, so that cue allowance is reducible and a product yield rate is improvable and, what is more, a large-sized product also can be cut without changing the saw blade, accuracy also is improved, besides working time is reducible. |
