PURPOSE:To hold good tooth contact in a gear train, by forming a pressure receiving area of a reversing side thrust bearing smaller than the pressure receiving area of an advancing side thrust bearing and providing a gear with crankshaft in the peripheral part of a reversing side thrust collar. CONSTITUTION:A stepped thrust collar 2 is integrally formed with a crankshaft 1. Thrust bearings 4a, 4b is advancing and reversing sides of the thrust collar 2 are mounted to an engine bed plate 5, and thrust force in the forward and reverse time is transmitted to the engine bed plate 5 through the bearings 4a, 4b. A reversing side thrust collar 2b is formed in a contour smaller than that of an advancing side thrust collar 2a. A gear with crankshaft 7 is fitted to the periphery of the reversing side thrust collar 2b and fixed to the advancing side thrust collar 2. The reversing side thrust bearing 4b is arranged in the internal peripheral side of the gear with crankshaft 7, and a rotation of the crankshaft 1 is transmitted from the gear 7 via an idler gear 8 to gear 9 and a cam shaft 6.
