PURPOSE:To simplify and miniaturize a wheel head as well as to make an extensive machining surface grindable, by installing plural grindstones reciprocatively shiftable in the same direction at the specified interval, and also installing a motor, moving both these grindstones symmetrically, in the middle. CONSTITUTION:When a turning shaft 6 is rotated by an air motor 4, moving bodies 9 and 10 are reciprocated in a direction approaching or separating to or from each other along a guide rail 8 by eccentric pins 6b and 6c via operating arms 11 and 12. With this reciprocation, a pair of grindstones 17 are symmetrically moved via support rods 15, whereby a work machining surface is extensively and efficiently ground by an abrasive surface 17a. Since each grindstone 17 is made tiltable via a sphere 16, this abrasive surface 17a is tilted at will according to an inclination of the work machining surface, thus efficient grinding is carried out. And, since these support rods 15 are engaged with engaging grooves 20 on these paired grindstones 17, it checks any rotation of these grindstones 17 so that an angular part of each stone is not locally hit to the machining surface, thus grinding is smoothly performed.
