PURPOSE:To obtain excellent picture quality without field afterimage, Moire and flicker at vertical edge or the like by obtaining one horizontal scanning signal from two rows of picture element arrays and expanding a photosensing aperture part into a size for two picture elements' share. CONSTITUTION:Signals correspnding to a color flter of the 1st row and the 2nd row are read at the same tome among signals corresponding to each color filter obtained from a solid-state image pickup device to form the 1st scanning line signals, the 3rd row and the 4th row signals are read at the same time to form the (i+1)th scanning line signals, and in the interlace field, the 2nd and the 3rd rows are read at the same time to form the (n+i)th scanning line signals, the 4th and the next 1st rows are read at the same time to form the (n+i+1)th scanning line signals and the 1st and 2nd color signals are obtained from the scanning line signals. In this color filter array, the 1st and the 2nd unit arrangements where the 1st primary color transmitting section or interrupting section and the 2nd primary color transmitting section or interrupting section are arranged at a specific position and two columns are used as one unit, are arranged alternately in horizontal direction for one or a plural number each. |
