PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a buried valve such as a ball valve, butterfly valve, and stop valve from being damaged by applying torque larger than required by a handle for opening and closing the valve. SOLUTION: A slip mechanism 4 is provided at the shaft of a T-handle so that excessive torque is not transmitted to the valve when the valve is opened and closed. Usually, the slip mechanism slips with excessive torque and, in an emergency such as earthquake, increases slip torque. The T-handle with higher slip torque can be used selectively.
