PURPOSE:To form an electrodeposited film of an iron alloy corresponding to SUS303 stainless steel by electroplating a metallic material in an electrodeposition bath contg. chromium sulfamate, nickel sulfamate and ferrous sulfamate in a specified molar ratio. CONSTITUTION:A metallic material is electroplated in an electrodeposition bath contg. chromium sulfamate, nickel sulfamate and ferrous sulfamate in 15:1:40mol ratio to form an electrodeposited film of an iron alloy corresponding to SUS303 stainless steel contg. 8-10% Ni and 17-19% Cr on the surface of the metallic material. Potassium citrate may be added to the electrodeposition bath by 15-100mol% of the total amount of the metallic sulfamates.
