PURPOSE:To attain free conversation through terminals for other languages by applying an inter-language automatic translation system of a host computer. CONSTITUTION:Grammar dictionaries 3 includes such languages as Japanese, English, German, etc. and word dictionaries 4 also include those said languages. A host computer 5 contains an automatic translation program which produces a tree showing the concept structure from a sentence to be translated and processed this tree for production of a translated sentence. This translated sentence is stored in a message exchange common file 6 and then sent to the remote side. Thus it is possible to perform conversation among different languages via computers and contribute to better understanding among nations in the world.
