PURPOSE:To make it possible to adjust a seat cushion continuously variably, simply and securely when slide-adjusting an upper rail attached to a seat cushion along a lower rail attached to a floor by locking both of the rails at any required position by exciting an electromagnet. CONSTITUTION:An upper rail 1 fixed to a lower surface of a seat cushion S is mounted freely slidably on a lower rail 2 fixed to a floor F. While forming either of the rails 1 and 2 with a magnetic material, an electromagnet 3 is fixed to the other rail to attract the former. Exciting an iron core 3a by energizing a conductor 3b of the electromagnet 3, the upper rail 1 is locked to the lower rail 2. When sliding the upper rail 1, a rotor 5a of a sensor 5 is made to rotate via a string member 7 to detect the sliding position of the upper rail 1 so that the electromagnet 3 is made to work by means of a main body 5b of the sensor 5. |
