In a housing for a heating or air-conditioning system for a motor vehicle, with a condensation-trap basin which can be inserted if required, is supported on the inside on a lower region of the housing and is made of flexible material and has at least one outlet nozzle which penetrates an opening of the housing, the condensation-trap basin is accommodated only at its edge by the lower region of the housing, designed as a housing flange. When the condensation-trap basin is not inserted, said flange serves as a support for a plate closing the housing opening, so that the overall height is reduced and the flow conditions are improved.
