PURPOSE:To make the area of heat radiation large in order to improve heat exchange performance by arranging in a circle in a cylindrical housing many flat pipes through which a medium to be cooled is passed axially and passing the cooling medium horizontally along the outer circumferences of those flat pipes and providing a heat conductive body in each flat pipe. CONSTITUTION:A medium pipe 106 which is for a medium to be cooled is axially provided at the central section of a cylindrical housing, and on the outer circumference of the pipe 106 a plurality of fan shaped cores 108 are provided radially. In the core the medium to be cooled is passed axially from a collector plate of the upper face of the housing. Further, in the passage in the core a heat conductive body 110 is provided. The fan shaped cores 108 are connected in the axial direction by a connecting plate 140, and it is provided with a hole for a cooling passage which intersects alternately with a horizontally adjacent section to the connecting plate. The cooling medium is introduced from an inlet pipe 102 and passes through the hole for the passage and flows horizontally mutually intersecting and discharged from an outlet pipe 104. With this arrangement it is possible to provide passage for the medium to be cooled to the limit in the housing.
