PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent electrophotographic sensitive body which is less changed in surface potential in the stage of preexposing, rising characteristic in the initial period of electrostatic charge and dark attenuation by incorporating an org. phosphite compd. as a photodeterioration preventive agent into an electric charge generating layer or charge transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:The org. phosphite compd. is incorporated as the photo deterioration preventive agent into at least either of the charge generating layer 15 and charge transfer layer 17. The content of the org. phosphite compd. is adequately 0.01-20wt% in the case of adding the same to the charge generat ing layer 15 and is adequately 0.01-5wt% in the case of adding the same to the charge transfer layer 17.
