PROCESS FOR PREPARING N-SULFAMOYL-3-(2-GUANIDINOTHIAZOLE-4-YLMETHYLTIO)PROPIONAMIDE

The title compds. (I) are prepd. by reacting thioimidate derivs. with sulfamide at -10 to 20 deg.C. In the formula, R' is H, C2-6 alkylcarbonyl or haloalkylcarbonyl. Dissolve 0.5g of s-propyl-3-[(2- guanidinothiazole-4-yl) methylthio! propylthioimidate in 3ml of dried MeOH add 0.34g of sulfamide and reflux for 2hr, distn. and refine by TLC to produce 0.28g of title compds.. (I) are useful for treatment of gastric ailments.
