PURPOSE:To strengthen adhesion by using a specified nonionic surfactant for an aqueous subbing dispersion fluid composed of an aqueous dispersion and a water-soluble polymer. CONSTITUTION:The photographic support obtained by coating at least one side of a polyester film with the aqueous dispersion fluid composed of the water- soluble polymer and the aqueous dispersion containing the nonionic surfactant represented by the formula shown on the right in which R is alkyl and n is a natural number of >=3. A mixing ratio of an aqueous latex to the water-soluble polymer can be optionally selected, but a preferable amount of the water-soluble polymer to the total solid components is 10-90%, especially, 20-70% in points of pH, coatability, and the like, and a preferable coating amount is 100-600mg of the total solid components per m<2> of the support. This nonionic surfactant is used, preferably, in an amount of 0.05-1g/l, especially, 0.1-0.6g/l, and, preferably, <=10%, especially, 1-5% of the total solid components, thus permitting the obtained photographic support to be superior in adhesion to the coating material, and both in transparency and photographic characteristics. |
