PURPOSE:To make needless to execute the same setting in each wind supporting body and to rapidly execute the compensation work by providing a setting part capable of setting the shift direction and shift quantity in each wind supporting body forming a couple with right and left. CONSTITUTION:When the division specification is changed, a slitter and a wind supporting body are positioned in each specified positions, on the basis of set valve in the division width setting part 30 of a control device 22. Sheet winding is started in this condition and it is checked whether the running position of a thin width sheet and the position of a winding core accord with each other and if any doesn's accord, the shift quantity needed for compensation is set in each winding position compensation quantity setting part 24 by means of a setting tool 30 and the starting switch of a control part 29 is operated. Hereby, an instruction signal for winding position compensation is given from the control part 29 to an electronic computer 23, and the electronic computer 23 starts the program execution for winding position compensation.
