PURPOSE:To obtain a desired light color without changing a light source by arranging a scattering plate in specific color between a liquid crystal display element and the light source and forming an insertion hole through which the scattering plate is put in and out in one flank of a device. CONSTITUTION:The liquid crystal display element 1 is incorporated in a liquid crystal display device 4 an the polarizing plate 5 which is arranged opposite a liquid crystal cell 1 is fixed to a top side cabinet 6 forming a housing on a display surface side. The scattering plate 8 in specific color which is supported by a reverse side cabinet 7 forming the housing is provided on the opposite side from the display surface of the liquid crystal display element 1 opposite the liquid crystal cell 2. Plural recessed parts 9... which serve as a reflecting plat are formed in the opposite surface of the reverse side cabinet 7 arranged on the opposite side from the display surface of the scattering plate 8, and discharge tubes 10... are arranged in the respective recessed parts 9.... Only light of specific color is transmitted through the scattering plate 8 in specific color and reaches the liquid crystal cell 2 on the display surface of the liquid crystal device 4. Consequently, back light to the liquid crystal cell 2 has the specific light color. |
