PURPOSE:To reduce oxygen concn. in atmosphere of inner cavity to which pipe end is inserted in box shape induction heating apparatus to the desired value, by providing an eaves to an upper rim of an aperture part, at jetting incompletely burnt gas from a curtain burner provided to an under rim of an aperture of the cavity. CONSTITUTION:The pipe end 3a of pipe is inserted to the inner cavity 2a of an induction heating furnace 2 and heated during the movement while being revolved in the cavity 2a. The eaves 10 composed of a protecting iron cover 11 and a castable refractory 12 is stuck to the upper rim 2d of the furnace 2. The curtain burner 13 having a jetting hole 15 for jetting incompletely burnt gas to an attaching base end 10a of the eaves 10 or upper rim of the cavity 2a as shown in an arrow 16, is laterally provided to an under rim 2e of the furnace 2. Gas is supplied through a pipe path 14 and incompletely burnt gas is jetted from the hole 15 of the burner 13. Thereby, the end 3a can easily be heated in nonoxidized state.
