The subject of the invention is a pressure device for tear-conversion machines, cut-conversion machines, drafting frames or the like, by means of which textile filament tows or fibre slivers are transported at a predetermined speed, with a pressure body which can be pressed against fixedly mounted cylinders and with a friction lining at least partially surrounding the pressure body. So that the friction lining can be renewed easily and without much outlay, it is proposed by the invention that the friction lining be a belt rotating endlessly over the pressure body and over a roller, and that a tension device be provided for the rotating belt.
