The image display apparatus includes a communicating interface configured to receive an identifier and service information associated with the identifier, a storage configured to store the identifier and the service information, a sensor configured to sense a gesture, a controller configured to process service content corresponding to the identifier by using the service information in response to determining that the gesture corresponds to the identifier, and a display configured to display service content.
