OPTICAL RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the cooling rate of a part where a light beam is irradiated by interposing temp. control layers between a substrate and recording layer. CONSTITUTION:The temp. control layer 7 is interposed between the substrate 3 and an optical recording layer 5 formed of a material which makes reversible phase transfer according to the irradiation conditions of the light beam to increase the cooling rate of the part where the light beam is irradiated during recording. As a result, the part where the beam is irradiated is easily made amorphous and the optical recording is executed with high sensitivity.
