PURPOSE:To obtain a catalyst of high activity in a low temp. region and a long life for purification of NOx by a catalytic reduction method by forming a tight mixture of titanium and tin beforehand then depositing tungsten, etc. CONSTITUTION:As a catalyst for purification of NOx which reduces the NOx in waste gases catalytically in the presence of ammonia, a tight mixture of titanium and tin is beforehand formed, after which tuhgsten and/or molybdenum and vanadium are diposited thereon. The resultant catalyst exhibits high activity in a low temp. region and removes NOx in waste gases efficiently and stably for a long period of time. |
