PURPOSE:To bring a forming bladder into disuse and consequently remove the influence of the deviation of the bladder and to improve the quality of a tire by a structure wherein elastic sealing members are interposed between respective abutting surfaces of large piece flanges and of small piece flanges and, in addition, sliding sealing rings, which airtightly abut against the profile parts of the large piece flanges and of the small piece flanges when a forming drum is fully open, are provided on the insides of said profile parts. CONSTITUTION:When a molded tire W is intended to inflate, the bead of the tire W is held by expanding large piece flanges 25 and small piece flanges 26 through the driving of a right and left expanding and contracting drives 5, each of which is driven by the air supplied from air supply holes 6 through supplying passages 40 to the pressure chambers 23 of the respective piston members 20. In addition, sealing is realized between the flanges 25 and 26 by means of the collapse allowance of elastic sealing members provided between respective abutting surfaces of the large piece flanges 25 and of the small piece flanges 26, of all of which a drum flange is composed. Further, the insides of the profile parts 35 of the large piece flanges 25 and of the small piece flanges 26 are sealed airtight through sliding sealing rings 36.
