PURPOSE:To enable a collector to be used as a vacuum envelope for a long time by forming a hole penetrating an area located near each joint and installing thin vacuum-sealing plates outside the joints. CONSTITUTION:A collector is made by joining four parts consisting of base bodies 11 at joints 7. A sealing plate 9 having a small thickness and made of an easily deformable substance such as copper, a copper-nickel alloy, copal or SUS is fused to each base body 11 having at least one gas hole 10 by brazing. As a result, since vacuum sealing is achieved by the sealing plates 9, the collector can perform its full function as a vacuum envelope even when minute cracks or the like cause leaks to develop in the joints. In addition, the collector has a sufficient strutural strength and can stand prolonged repeated operation. |
