PURPOSE:To obtain the titled forming oil which prevents roll wear and the occurrence of a flaw on the surface of a rolled steel pipe, by mixing a mineral oil of lubricating viscosity, a monohydric alcohol ester of a higher fatty acid, a chlorinated paraffin, a sulfurized oil, and an acrylic organotin polymer. CONSTITUTION:A refined mineral oil (A) (e.g.m a machine oil) of lubricating viscosity having a kinematic viscosity of 1.98cSt or higher and less than 135cSt at 40 deg.C is mixed with 4-20wt% monohydric alcohol ester of a higher fatty acid (B) (e.g., 2-ethylhexyl stearate); 1-25wt% chlorinated paraffin (C) (e.g., a chlorinated paraffin wax) of a chlorine content of 10-55wt%; 2-20wt% sulfurized oil (D) (e.g., a sulfurized lard oil) of a sulfur content of 1-40wt%; 0.1-2.0wt% acrylic organotin polymer (E) of a tin-containing monomer content of 30-80wt% comprizing a trialkyltin methacrylate and, if necessary, its (co)polymer with a (meth)acrylic ester; and, if necessary, a dispersing agent, an oiliness improver, an emulsifying agent, a rust-preventive agent, etc. |
