<p>PURPOSE:To position a sheet with accuracy by detecting a back end of a sheet by a sheet detecting device which is arranged near a first feeding device exit of a sheet feeding system, feeding the sheet to a second feeding device, and thereafter setting a driving quantity of a second feeding system by an electronic control device based on a sheet moving quantity and a target stop position. CONSTITUTION:A sheet feeding system comprises a separation device (a first sheet feeding system) 30, and a feeding device (a second sheet feeding system) 31. And a sheet detecting means (resist sensor) SER is arranged at a first position near an exit of this separation device 30. Further, an electronic control device which drives the separation device 30 in response to the predetermined instruction is arranged, by driving of this separation devie 30, a sheet 38 such as an original for copying is fed to the feeding device 31, a seet moving quantity after the sheet detecting means SER detects a tip end of the sheet until it detects its back end is measured by the detecting means (photo-sensor), and this measured value is revised by the first coefficient. Based on this revised value and a target stop position, a driving quantity of the feeding device 31 after the sheet 38 passes the first position is set.</p> |
