PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of malfunction by recording the data of the same contents repeatedly with plural types of data as the signal format where the data are arranged between adjoining two headers of a fixed pattern together with an identifying signal to show the type of the data or individually. CONSTITUTION:Pulses (c) and (d) are supplied respectively through a recording control circuit 31, a driving amplifier 32 and a switch circuit 33 to a control head 34 and causes a recording electric current (e) to flow to the control head 34. The recording electric current (e) flows in the normal direction at the high level period of the pulse (c), flows in the negative direction at the high level period of the pulse (d) and does not flow at the period when the pulses (c) and (d) are both low levels and at the low level period of a pulse (b) when the switch circuit 33 is off. As such a result, the reference pulse of a reproducing control pulse (a) is kept as it is, a negative polarity pulse is erased by the positive or negative recording electric current (e), the recording electric current (e) is changed from the positive direction to the negative direction, then, the negative polarity pulse is newly recorded. The action is repeated until the record ing of all bits of recording data is completed.
