PURPOSE:To fix the quantity of emission light of a fluorescent lamp and to prolong the service life of the fluorescent lamp by forming a device for detecting the light emitting state of the fluorescent lamp by a sensor and controlling the ambient temperature of the fluorescent lamp in accordance with the output of the sensor. CONSTITUTION:A light flux is projected from the fluorescent lamp 1 to an original 2 and its reflected light is reflected by reflecting members 3, 4. The reflected light is converged on a photosensitive body 6 by an optical lens 5 to expose the photosensitive body and form a latent image. A sensor 7 is arranged close to the fluorescent lamp 1 to measure the quantity of light of the fluorescent lamp 1. An output generated from the sensor 7 is sent to a temperature controller 8. Since the quantity of light of the fluorescent lamp 1 is maximized at about 20 deg.C ambient temperature, the fluorescent lamp 1 is heated by a heater to control the temperature and the quantity of light by the temperature controller 8. Since the ambient temperature of the fluorescent lamp in the optical imaging device is controlled, the light emission of a light flux projected from the fluorescent lamp 1 can be fixed by a simple device. |
